The idea for this system came to me when I tried to find a plumber in Simon's Town by searching on Google. The last time I tried this, my Google search returned over 7 million results (by all means try this at home).
This struck me as ridiculous. Equally ridiculous is the SEO industry, which is expected to be worth US$79 billion by 2020, and whose purpose is to get everyone into the top 20 results.
I decided that what we actually need is a localised search engine that can help you find professional services in your own community, and that's what BZZI does.
